After Rick started to build his Doon buggy, it quickly became obvious, due to several changes of plan along the way, that there were going to be a lot of parts left over at the end, in fact more than enough to build another buggy!
Rather than sell all of the 'spare' parts it seemed like a good idea to build a buggy for me with them; this time a bog-standard roadster, rather than an off-road monster.
We'd talked about the idea of building another buggy for a few months but the decision was made on 1st January '08 when Nic Round offered a very nice shortened IRS/BJ chassis for sale for GBP 600, which we bought.
We will start to build the rolling chassis whilst we decide what sort of body to put on it; probably either a Manx or another Doon.
